Sustainable Travel

You can easily and eco-friendly reach the Tannheimer Valley without your own car. Just take the train to Reutte in Tyrol, Sonthofen, or Pfronten/Ried. From there, regional buses will take you directly to the villages in the valley. Traveling by long-distance coach is also possible – for example, to Reutte or Kempten, where you can easily switch to public transport. For even more flexibility, you can use car sharing services or ride-sharing platforms like BlaBlaCar. Many accommodations in the valley also support car-free travel and offer pickup or shuttle services for their guests.

Infos about the region

The Füssener Jöchle in the Tannheimer Valley is a small but charming ski area nestled in the Tyrolean Alps – perfect for skiers, ski tourers, and leisure seekers alike. With around 9 kilometers of slopes, well-developed off-piste options, and breathtaking views at over 1,800 meters, it offers ideal conditions for relaxed days on the mountain, far from the crowds. Thanks to modern snowmaking technology, snow reliability is ensured even during milder winters. The sunny runs and scenic winter hiking trails around the mountain station are especially popular. And for those looking to unwind after a day on the slopes, a cozy alpine hut is the perfect place to enjoy traditional Tyrolean cuisine along with stunning views of the valley.
